Dhaka-- (UNB) – Director (South Asia) of International Finance Corporation (IFC) Bernard Pasquier met with Finance Minister Shah AMS Kibria at his office yesterday and discussed private sector investment in Bangladesh.

The Finance Minister apprised the IFC Director of the sate of country’s economy and lauded IFC for increasing its investment in Bangladesh.

IFC supports private sector development in Bangladesh both through investment and advisory work. Its investment in 2000 for Bangladesh projects exceeded 150 million US dollars.
